First we have to open up the “Control Panel” (Not the Windows Settings) You can do this quickly by 1 of the 2 following methods:   Cortana (Works only on Windows 10): Pressing the Cortana Icon next to your start button, you can search for Control Panel and launch it from this popup window. Do note that the Control Panel and the Settings apps are different. You want the “Control Panel”! Using the Run Dialog (Works on ALL versions of Windows): You can access the Run Dialog from either the Start Menu or by pressing the key combination: “Windows Key + R” (The windows key is the flag button between CTRL & ALT. Once the Run Dialog is open, simply type: Control Panel     and press ENTER or click “OK” From here, you will want to find and click “Devices and Printers” Click on the “Add a Printer” button at the top of this window. From here, you will want to select “The printer that I want isn’t listed.” (Do this even if your copier shows up in the list box) On the next window that pops up, select “Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings”, then click “Next”. The next step is to create a communication port. Select “Create a new port:” then for “Type of Port:” select “Standard TCP/IP Port” Click Next Now you will have to enter the IP Address of your Printer. You can obtain this address from the Administrator Settings area of your device. (Uncheck “Query the printer and automatically select the driver to use”) Lastly you will have to navigate to the driver. Click on “Have Disk…” Now click on the “Browse…” button, and locate your Downloaded Drivers. You will need to extract the drivers to a location you can easily navigate to (your desktop is fine) Point this window to that folder (32 or 64bit will depend on your operating system). Press “OK” and now you should see the final confirmation screen. Click the “Next” button. If you see this window, select “REPLACE” then hit “Next” Don’t forget to name your Printer something you won’t forget, or leave the default if preferred. Click “Next” Make sure you select “Do not share this printer”. You can choose to set as your default printer if you’d like, or print a test page to make sure everything is working as intended: Click “Finish” when you’re ready, and you’re all set!
